Elk Run

Ranch

Spectacularly situated at the base of Sleeping Giant, also known as Elk Mountain, is a private, 2,500-acre estate called Elk Run Ranch. Tucked in by neighboring ranches adjacent to the Routt National Forest just 30 minutes from Steamboat, this exclusive setting is a special amenity to One Steamboat Place Owners.

For three months every fall, hundreds of elk make their annual migration through Elk Run Ranch offering premier elk hunting. Northwest Colorado has long been regarded as an elk hunting capital with Routt County’s location in the heart of the herd.

Hunting begins in September with archery and muzzleloader season; rifle hunting season spans over four weeks in October and November. To ensure the highest quality adventure is provided, Elk Run Ranch hunts are limited to small groups.
