1. Santa Saddles Up

Date: Saturday, December 14

Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Location: Steamboat Stage, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle

Cost: Free

Kick off the holiday season with a Steamboat tradition. Watch as Santa Claus rides into Steamboat Square on horseback, escorted by beloved locals Bob Dapper and Dean Vogelaar. This festive horseback procession is a short but magical experience, so be sure to arrive early. Once Santa arrives at the Steamboat Stage, he will be available to meet guests and pose for photos. Complimentary hot chocolate and cupcakes will be served, and Skeeters Ice Rink will be open.

2. Holiday Drone Show and Skate Party

Date: Saturday, December 14

Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Location: Steamboat Square, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle

Cost: Free

As the sun sets on December 14, prepare to be dazzled by Steamboat Resort’s Holiday Drone Show. Starting at 5:30 PM, the night sky will light up with a mesmerizing display of drones, creating intricate designs and patterns that celebrate the festive season.

After the drone show, the fun continues with a Holiday Skate Party at Skeeters Ice Rink. Skating under the stars with holiday music and twinkling lights is the perfect way to enjoy the festive atmosphere. For the night owls, Night Skiing will be open from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

3. Holiday Balloon Glow

Date: Saturday, December 21

Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Location: Steamboat Ski Resort, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle

Cost: Free

Four magnificent hot air balloons will illuminate the Mountain Village, creating a stunning visual display against a snowy alpine backdrop. Guests can stroll among the glowing balloons or admire the view from one of the nearby slope-side eateries.

4. Hanukkah Mountain Celebration

Date: Saturday, December 28

Time: 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Location: Steamboat Stage, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle

Celebrate the Festival of Lights with the Steamboat community during the Hanukkah Mountain Celebration, where Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary of The Jewish Community of Steamboat will lead a special Hanukkah ceremony. All are welcome to enjoy the lighting of the menorah, songs, and Hanukkah sweet treats.

5. New Year’s Eve Light Up Snow Cat Parade and Fireworks

Date: Tuesday, December 31

Time: 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Location: Steamboat Resort, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle

Cost: Free

Ring in 2025 with an unforgettable mountainside New Year’s Eve celebration. The festivities begin with a Light Up Snow Cat Parade, where five snowcats covered in twinkling lights will lead a procession down the mountain. Steamboat’s Snow Sports Instructors will then take to the slopes for a synchronized torchlight parade, lighting up the night as they ski down the mountain. The grand finale? A breathtaking fireworks display that will light up the sky.
