6:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Bald Eagle Lake, 35565 South Highway 40
The Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Art in the Park weekend is one of the most colorful weekends in Colorado. Get to the launch grounds early to see the balloons inflate. The rodeo portion of the event consists of dipping the balloon baskets into Bald Eagle Lake, and since balloon pilots can be pretty competitive, you’re guaranteed a good show.
Approximately 9/10 of a mile south of Walton Creek Road on Highway 40, 35565 South Highway 40 and the property is better known as the Bald Eagle Lake. Balloon inflation begins at 6:00am followed by the rodeo portion of the event from 6:30 to 9:30am.
Free transportation is provided from the free Meadows Parking lot on Pine Grove Road. Due to the event's convenient location on the edge of town, we encourage spectators to walk, ride their bikes or take the shuttle from the hotel or lodge.
*No dogs are allowed at event site due to balloon hazards. Thank you!
